Europe (2009): Lost Pic Series
For those of you that know me well, you know that at the end of 2008 I walked away from a very successful job I had worked hard at for nearly 13yrs, due in part to a wonderful creative opportunity, but propelled forward by what I like to dub as a “White Collar Crime”. It changed my life forever. Almost within 6months of leaving that life, I was blessed with an opportunity to travel to Europe with one of my favorite Dhillons…my cousin Mona. You see, a close friend of her’s from grad school was living in Knotting Hill & working in Geneva and she was about to pay her a visit. With my new found freedom & time on my hands, Mona thought it would be a good trip for me to soul search, let go of the pain from my past and just bond with family. How could I say no?! It was right at the beginning of my photography career, so naturally, I packed up all my gear for the trip. What I never did though, was actually share those images with anyone (outside of a handful that might’ve popped up in my old portfolio site). Recently, I was presented with a very big opportunity in the visual arts and needed to update my entire photography portfolio. In doing so, I came across the photos from way back then and I felt like I should finally share some of my favorites with you all. What an amazing couple of weeks those were: Knotting Hill, Windsor, London, Geneva, Zurich, Amsterdam & my personal favorite town, Chamonix. Thanks Mona & Nik for including me on the journey…what a ride…
